DMTheatrics has been providing NYC with electric, eclectic, infuriating entertainment for over a decade and shows no signs of showing any mercy by stopping any time soon. All of these historic moments are housed in the voluminous DMT archive, with full info on each show, plus, in many instances, video, photos, reviews, and backstage tidbits from one of the most extraordinary bodies of work in modern independent theater. We here in the archives have spent over 18 months sifting through this mountain of information preparing it for public consumption, in some instances traveling to the ends of the earth and doing countless hours of repair on documents both electronic and physical to rescue these treasures from disrepair and loss. While not everything could be saved, we here in the Archives division are proud of our efforts and humbled by the generosity of His Grand Excellence Mr. Frank S. Cwiklik, ESQ, QED, ROLLOFL, who allowed us access to previously closed and boarded-up areas of the Laboratories to complete this work. As the task of sorting and finalizing this massive body of information is delicate and time-consuming work, we will be reopening the archives in stages. We felt it only right and proper that we begin our excursion into theater history with our attempt to reconstruct the scattered archives of the very first DMT production, the cult classic Girls' School Vampire. CLICK HERE TO ENTER THIS FIRST WING OF THE ARCHIVES. Our second addition, a distillation of the recent DMT ubertriumph Two Gentlemen of Lebowski, has parked its carcass approximately HERE. This page will soon act as a portal to the various wings of the Archives, which will be added at the pace of about one every two to three weeks. Check back for updates. Also, for those of a nostalgic nature, you can see the ruins of the previous site's repertory pages, covering the paleolithic period (ca. 1999 to 2005 CE), by clicking here, but none of the current archive staff were involved in that sordid affair and take no responsibility for its appearance or upkeep. Proceed with caution, hardhats are stronly suggested. Those interested in more recent materials on the past few DMT shows may be interested in the still-open though dormant pages for the Brick revival of Bitch Macbeth; the first installment of The Badass Record Collection, Taking Liberties; and the first Grudge Match entry, Titus Andronicus. These pages are still in "live" mode, though remain only promotional tools and not proper archival vaults. Proceed with caution.
NOTE FROM ARCHIVES DIRECTOR: You will note the shows below are gathered into distinct stylistic genres that DMT is known for. We find this to be a more exciting and informational method of presenting this material than would be the traditional chronological method. The various rooms are designed to allow a more leisurely chronological stroll through DMT's history, and will be properly connected upon completion of this daunting project. Bear with us! -- Dr. Praetorious, Archives Director
