Among other things in his career, Ken Simon has: shaved his chest twice to play William Shatner in Dysfunctional Theater productions of I am Star Trek; been crushed to death by a giant lobster claw fighting to save the Earth (Manifestations); stripped down to his underwear, shoes, socks and pole-danced (Richard Foreman's Classical Therapy); and fought off atomic, flesh-eating zombies until bitten by his zombie-fied "wife" and was shot (Ten Nights in a Bar-Room). Thanks to Frank and Michele for being able to add Antony and Cleopatra in Vegas to the experience. *******************************
Douglas Scott Sorenson has studied at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy, The Creative Acting Co., and privately with Amy Weinstein and Kirsti Kaldro. Some of his favorite NYC credits include: The Three Sisters (Solyony), All My Sons (Chris), Edward II (Warwick), Bride of the Monster (Kelton), Bitch Macbeth (Small Asbury), Women and Wallace (Wallace) and A Little Piece of the Sun (Alexander Akimov), among others. His films include: Stolen Choice, The Streets, Mina Seward, and Only Human. Douglas has appeared on network television, radio, and commercials. He loves the stage, living in NYC, stupid trivia, Sunday mornings, his mom, and can’t wait ’till he is a sitcom regular! |
A rookie to New York theater, Ken's previous roles were as Claude in Syracuse University's production of Hair; one of the fathers in The Fantasticks; and various other film and stage work. Off stage, he sympathises with the techies, because his third or fourth passion in life is lighting design. Other passions, in no particular order, are graphic design (being his profession), painting, biking, acting, writing, hanging out with his beautiful sister in Brooklyn, and trying to make his parents proud. Ken's DMT debut was as the Dealer in Antony and Cleopatra. *******************************
